Q: Is Absolut Vodka and its production process vegan?
A: YES. All Absolut products are absolutely vegan, thus they do not contain any animal products and no such products are used in the production process. We do not use any animal derivatives, either directly in the product itself, or to filter the product. We do not use bone chars in any process.
Q: Can I visit Absolut Vodka in Åhus, Sweden?
A: You're more than welcome! Get your tickets and learn so much more here: https://www.absoluthome.com
Q: What is Absolut Vodka made of?
A: Every drop of water and every seed of wheat comes from one water source and one community in the South of Sweden. It is called One Source, the reason why no matter where you are in the world, Absolut will always have same highest, consistent quality.
In 1879, Lars Olsson Smith introduced continuous distillation to Sweden, with which he made Absolut Rent Brännvin. Instead of the usual three or four times, the vodka was distilled an infinite number of times. Absolut is produced in and around Åhus, L.O. Smith’s birthplace, where the wheat used for making our vodka is grown.
Q: Who owns Absolut Vodka?
A: Since July 2008, Absolut has been owned by the French firm Pernod Ricard who acquired The Absolut Company (formerly V&S Vin & Sprit AB) from the Swedish government.
Q: How much Absolut is produced every year?
A: 125 000 million bottles of Absolut are produced every year and they are all made in and around the small village of Åhus, Sweden.
Q: How many people work at The Absolut Company?
A: More than 550 people work for The Absolut Company, and 151 people are involved in the production of Absolut.
Q: What are Absolut's biggest markets?
A: Absolut is sold in more than 140 markets, the US being our biggest in regards to volume sold, followed by United Kingdom, UK, Canada, Germany, Mexico, France, Brazil, Poland, GTR and China.
Q: What raw ingredients are used to produce Absolut Vodka?
A: Winter wheat from Southern Sweden and blended with filtered water from our pristine water source under the area of Åhus. These top-quality ingredients, together with our continuous distillation, bring the unique character and smoothness to Absolut.
Q: What is winter wheat?
A: Swedish winter wheat is a grain that yields high starch and low protein. Winter wheat is planted in the late autumn. It germinates before the frost and lies dormant during the winter.
In the spring, its growth continues at an accelerated pace. The wheat has a special vigor that comes from its six-month head start. The result is a high-quality wheat that gives Absolut its smooth grain character. In recent years sustainability, traceability and environmental impact have become some of the most important factors for us all when choosing our food and drink, whilst this is a new trend for many; this is how Absolut has always been made.
Q: Why is winter wheat the best raw ingredient for Absolut Vodka?
A: Swedish winter wheat is a very robust grain, which lends great character and quality to Absolut. Over the past decade or so Absolut has been working closely with local farmers and The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) to develop a range of standards and protocols to not only ensure the quality of the grain but to also promote sustainable farming techniques which minimize the impact to the environment caused by fertilizers and pesticides.
Q: Why is your water important for the production of Absolut Vodka?
A: Water quality is absolutely essential in vodka production. It plays an integral role in every step of production. Luckily Absolut utilized a very pristine water source. The distillery and in fact the whole area in which Absolut is produced sits above a huge aquifer that supplies us with the pure, pristine water that goes into every bottle of Absolut. Our water is naturally filtered through the Swedish bedrock for thousands of years to collect in this giant reservoir. It is exceptionally pure, low in minerals and very smooth.
Q: Why do vodkas taste different?
A: There are many variations in the quality and tastes of different vodkas. These variations come largely from how vodka is produced, and the raw material used. Each part of the production process can alter the taste or mouthfeel of a vodka. The key elements which mainly contribute to a vodka’s character are its raw ingredient, its water source, its type of distillation and rectification and how it is filtered.
Q: Can you really differentiate Absolut from another vodka?
A: Yes you can! Absolut is made using high quality winter wheat and our own continuous distillation process. We produce our vodka to retain as much natural taste and character from distillation as possible. Therefore it has an excellent aroma, mouthfeel and finish.
Q: Does it matter which vodka I use in cocktails? Can you tell the difference when the vodka is mixed in a drink?
A: Yes. As any other ingredient, vodka adds character and taste. A good quality vodka will give good structure and balance to your cocktail and work as a perfect canvas to hang other flavors off.
Q: How many distilleries do you use to produce Absolut Vodka?
A: One, to guarantee the same high quality in every bottle of Absolut, all Absolut Vodka is produced in Southern Sweden, and One Community. only – our distillery in southern Sweden.
Q: How many marketing awards have you received over the years?
A: We have received well over 400 industry awards. The original Absolut campaign was recognized by Advertising Age as one of the 20th century’s top 10 campaigns.
Q: How did your collaboration with artists start?
A: Our creative collaborations started with Andy Warhol painting the first art ad for Absolut. He then introduced Absolut to new artists and so the artists were commissioned through word-of- mouth. Warhol begat Keith Harring, who begat Kenny Scharf and so it went on. Since then we have collaborated with hundreds of artists but also with designers, photographers, musicians and other visionaries. Versace, Prada, Gucci, Helmet Newton, Ellen von Umwerth, Wolfmother, Lenny Kravitz, Swedish House Mafia, Lizzo and the most recent collaboratiors Jolin Cai and Tessa Thompson just to name a few.
Q: In what way do you promote responsible drinking?
A: Pernod Richard promotes responsible drinking in several ways. Some examples; all bottles and all advertising carry responsible drinking messages. We sponsor programs to prevent and educate on the risks of excessive and inappropriate consumption. On Absolut.com we have tips on responsible consumption and alcohol-free drinks on our drinks database. All advertising also has to be in line with the Code of Commercial Communications.
Q: What is the difference between a standard, a premium and a super premium vodka?
A: Despite the fact that vodka is not an aged spirit, there are big variances in price, with super premium and premium vodkas usually costing more than standard ones. Absolut pioneered the premium vodka category when it launched in 1979, then around 15 years ago the market saw the rise of the super premium category. Many premium and super premium brands rely heavily on luxury lifestyle marketing, whereas Absolut Vodka and Absolut Elyx are premium and super premium in what we believe to be the correct sense of the word – in terms of dedication, care, production quality and creativity.
Q: What does creativity mean for Absolut?
A: Creativity – be it in product development, design or marketing – is what drives Absolut forward. Absolut has always taken bold departures from the norm and approached the world differently to create exceptional vodka and an iconic brand. Embracing Swedish tradition and culture and made from the finest Swedish winter wheat, Absolut vodka is not triple or quadruple distilled. Instead, we continually distil our spirit, using our unique continuous distillation process, until our vodka reaches the perfect standard. When no other vodka considered ‘flavoring’ their product, Absolut created Absolut Peppar and Absolut Citron. Absolut also set a new standard in bottle design, while its cutting-edge marketing reflects a brand that dares to chart its own course. As much a part of our brand as Swedish tradition, culture and winter wheat, creativity is part of our DNA.
Q: When was Absolut launched?
A: Absolut was launched in New York City in 1979, two years after the original decision to start producing a new Swedish vodka for export. Aimed primarily at the young, creative communities living in the big cities in the US, then the UK and eventually the wider world, Absolut created the premium vodka category.
Q: How many local cows and pigs do you feed everyday with the stillage from your production?
A: High in protein, Absolut’s stillage feeds around a quarter of a million local pigs and cows daily. Probably the happiest pigs and cows in the world if you ask us.
Q: What is the story about the man on the medallion?
A: The man on the medallion is pioneering Swedish entrepreneur Lars Olsson (L.O.) Smith, who introduced continuous distillation to Sweden in 1879 and created the “Absolut Rent Brännvin” vodka brand, from which we get the Absolut name. Born in Åhus, the home of Absolut, L.O. Smith was not just an impressive businessman. He was also a social reformer, whose progressive and creative values have always been – and will always be – at the heart of Absolut. Celebrating L.O. Smith’s contribution to both the Swedish vodka-making tradition and Swedish values at the core of Ab
Q: What's the story behind the iconic bottle?
A: Absolut wanted the bottle to play a key role in the brand’s marketing from the start, so agency Carlsson & Broman was commissioned to create a revolutionary design. The agency took its inspiration from an 18th century apothecary bottle found in an antiques shop in Gamla Stan, Stockholm’s old town. Clear glass was chosen to allow the clarity of the vodka to speak for itself and, instead of a traditional paper label, the details were printed directly onto the glass. Blue lettering was chosen because it represented the purity of water, with an L.O. Smith medallion, acting as a tribute to the inspiration behind the brand, providing the finishing touch. One of the most recognizable an
Q: What is the motivation behind using recycled glass at Absolut?
A: Absolut has always worked close with its suppliers and the suppliers strive to be sustainable in the same way that Absolut does. Our glass supplier has used recycled glass in their process since the 80's. By using recycled glass we e.g. reduce the need of natural resources and the energy consumption in the glass process. As Swedish people are among the best in the world to recycle glass, we have been able to increase the use of recycled glass in our bottle.
We have a passion for progression and Absolut believes that we should all strive to make as little environmental impact on the planet as possible. Our long-term ambition is to further minimize waste, recycle and reuse it towards a more circular system. We see everything as a resource which can be reused or recycled. This is what motivated us to use more than 50% recycled glass in each of our bottles.
Q: How do you recycle waste from your distillery?
A: In our production, we send almost no waste to landfill. In fact, less than 1% of our waste from our production goes to landfill. In our production process, we recycle everything we can. We don't like to waste a thing as almost everything is a resource which can be reused or recycled. Our main by-product is stillage, the leftover from the fermentation of wheat. It is used as a locally produced and excellent fodder for thousands of pigs and cows in the surrounding area.
Q: How sustainable is your energy usage and production?
A: According to a benchmarking study by BIER (Beverage Industries Environmental Roundtable*) a coalition of leading global beverage companies working together to advance environmental sustainability within the beverage sector, based on 2017 figures, the energy consumption per liter of alcohol distilled at our distillery was 60% less than the average among participating distilleries worldwide. One of the main reasons for this is that we installed energy-efficient equipment in 2004 that radically reduced our energy consumption. The energy consumption per liter of vodka produced has dropped by 45% since then.
Today, approximately 85% of the energy we use at our facilities come from renewable sources (Source: Internal Audited Data). We buy electricity with European Guarantees of Origin which ensures it comes from renewable sources. This, combined with the energy-efficiency of the distillery is the reason why the CO2-emissions per liter of alcohol distilled at our distillery were 98% less than the corresponding figure for the average distillery globally in the benchmarking study mentioned above.

Q: How do you support the farmers that grow the wheat for Absolut?
A: We promote sustainable farming techniques and work closely with the farmers in the region. We recycle our main by-product, stillage – the left over from the process of fermenting wheat. It is protein rich and used as a locally produced and healthy feed for quarter of a million of pigs and cows every day that is being sold to the farmers in the surrounding area.
Q: Why haven’t you moved production into markets to reduce carbon emission in distribution?
A: Absolut would not be Absolut Vodka without its “One Source” production philosophy, meaning that every aspect of our production journey takes place in and around the small village of Åhus, Sweden.
Furthermore, having our major suppliers gathered at home in southern Sweden creates a transparency, efficiency and control which is hard to achieve with a decentralized, globalized production. Together we can join forces in our ambition to minimize the environmental impact of Absolut along its lifecycle. When it comes to the international transports, we are based on the coast and the majority of our bottles are exported overseas by ship. Compared with airfreight and trucking, sea transports are considered less harmful.
Q: Tell us about the new Absolut Elyx bottle
A: This is the next evolution of Absolut Elyx. Always single minded in the pursuit of perfection and craft, our new bottle; a symbol of emboldened luxury, provides bolder stand out and gives us a stronger platform for brand storytelling. Copper is our brand anchor and key to how we make Elyx; it is after all our vintage manually operated copper still from 1921 and our use of sacrificial copper packets that give Elyx its character and silky smoothness. Our new bottle allows us to celebrate these copper credentials through a new sleeker, lustrous and more elegant form which, in keeping with our Absolut DNA, lets us stand out from the crowd.
Although our pack has developed, our vodka remains exactly the same. At 42.3%* abv every drop of Absolut Elyx is made using wheat from one single estate in southern Sweden and goes through our copper still.
Q: What are the design specificities?
A: From top to bottom, the new design of the bottle has been thought to embody our brand identity and reinforce our luxury credentials.
The new bottle is 3.5 cm taller than the previous pack to increase visibility and stand out. The newly designed neck label and the eye-catching engraved electroplated copper cap highlight our brand essence. The logo has been modified to a bolder charcoal with copper detail.
A pearlised embossed front label communicates the ‘Single Estate Copper Crafted’ message with copper foil, whilst a bolder charcoal logo with copper details allows for more evident brand stand out.
We have added our signature ‘with love from Absolut Elyx XxX’** onto the front of the pack to convey our commitment personally overseeing every element of what makes Elyx so special from the way we produce & bottle our vodka to our playful brand personality.
Our faceted glass bottle is a gentle nod to our previous pack and the horizontal copper rod design, but really adds a shimmering depth of beauty to the pack bringing a new luxe, glamor and vibrancy to the brand through stand out packaging.
Q: What does ’Country of Sweden’ mean written on the bottle?
A: We are tremendously proud of the unique heritage of our vodka. Absolut Elyx is born from the rich heritage of Absolut Vodka – which is still made in Sweden using our particular ‘one source’ production method. Every drop of Absolut Elyx is handcrafted using a vintage still from 1921 in Åhus with wheat from one single estate. The whole production of Absolut Elyx from seed to bottle is made within a 15-mile radius. Sweden is central to our brand heritage and for that reason we proudly convey ‘Country of Sweden’ on the front of our bottle.
Q: Has the vodka changes in the new pack?
A: Although our pack has developed, our vodka remains exactly the same. At 42.3%* abv every drop of Absolut Elyx is made using wheat from one single estate in southern Sweden and goes through our copper still.
Q: Why did you decide to launch the new bottle?
A: We launched Absolut Elyx in 2010 and since then we have evolved the bottle a couple of times in line with the opportunity we believe exists for the future success of the brand. Whilst previous evolutions have been decorative tweaks, we made the decision to really restage the pack in line with a fresh brand ambition, with an ultra-elegant, luxe pack which enables us to further convey our unique copper handcrafted credentials.
Q: What is Absolut Elyx?
A: Absolut Elyx is a Single Estate, Copper Crafted, Luxury Vodka
Single Estate: Every drop of Absolut Elyx is made from winter wheat grown on one single estate in southern Sweden, the Råbelöf estate and each part of
the production, from the planting of the first seed all the way through to distillation and bottling, is performed within a 15-mile radius.
Copper Crafted: Single estate is our anchor, but what makes us Absolut Elyx is our obsessive use of copper. We use thousands of copper packets
sacrificially to remove unwanted compounds, resulting in an absolutely clean and elegant spirit then distilled in our manually operated vintage copper
column still from 1921. This is what gives Absolut Elyx its distinctive character and unique, silky texture.
Luxury Vodka: Copper is not only what makes our vodka taste like liquid silk but also how we bring to life our distinct product experience. What makes us
a luxury vodka is not only the quality of our liquid, but also our re-enchanted approach to consumption, as a treat: while our liquid silk shines neat, on the
rock as well as sublimates cocktails, our copper vessels make each serves unique and cold from the first sip to the last.
Q: What does the name 'Elyx' mean?
A: We gave Absolut Elyx its name for 2 reasons – 1. ’lyx’ means luxury in Swedish. 2. Elyx is derived from the word Elixir, meaning ‘magic formula’.
It refers to the century-old formulas, methods and vodka-making expertise, which we have explored and refined when creating Absolut Elyx.
Q: How is Absolut Elyx different from Absolut Vodka?
A: Absolut Vodka is the world’s leading premium vodka, Absolut Elyx is the luxury expression of Absolut. We like to think about it as the essence of Absolut. Both products are made with care and the desire to create a high-quality vodka, but they are different in production, ingredients, taste and texture. They are both produced at One Source, meaning that every drop of it comes from Åhus in southern Sweden, and from local ingredients – but Absolut Elyx takes One Source a step further. Each part of the production, from the planting of the first seed, all the way through to distillation and bottling, is performed within a 15-mile radius in the Åhus region. Every drop of Absolut Elyx is distilled from winter wheat grown on one single estate, the Råbelöf estate. Absolut Elyx is copper crafted using sacrificial copper packets and distilled in a manually operated vintage copper still from 1921. The result is the world’s first luxury vodka with a rich pronounced mouthfeel and exceptional character that really is like drinking liquid silk. It is best enjoyed neat or on the rock, but also in classic cocktails where its well-balanced character and silky mouthfeel can shine. Some consumers may prefer Absolut Elyx, while others have a preference for the original Absolut Vodka. We leave it up to every consumer to decide which vodka he or she prefers.
Q: Why is Absolut Elyx more expensive than Absolut Vodka?
A: Absolut Elyx is a luxury vodka in every way. We are capturing and refining the very best of our distinguished heritage, by sourcing the finest ingredients, revitalizing traditional skills and know-how, and most importantly – we have reactivated our 1921 copper column still. Making a vodka in our manually operated vintage copper still, with the finest ingredients, is more expensive and requires more time and expertise from our skilled craftsmen. Naturally, this affects the production costs, as well as the retail price.
Q: Is Absolut Elyx a super premium vodka?
A: Super-premium is a trade term used to qualify vodkas with a higher price tag. As such, the term does not necessarily say anything about the real quality of the product. Absolut Elyx is a vodka of real substance, it is a luxury vodka. It is a single-estate vodka, copper crafted in a vintage 1921 copper column still, which only a select few can operate – thanks to the knowledge inherited from past generations of Swedish vodka makers.
Q: What does Absolut Elyx taste like?
A: Absolut Elyx is recognized by its elegance and silky-smooth mouthfeel. The palate is rich, creamy and well balanced, with a stand out silky texture,
a long-lasting smooth finish. Elyx is best enjoyed neat or on the rocks. It is also perfect in Martinis and classic cocktails where its pure taste and silky mouthfeel shines through.
Q: What makes Absolut Elyx the vodka best suited for drinking on the rock or in a martini?
A: Absolut Elyx most defining quality lies in its elegant and silky texture. It is therefore perfect to enjoy neat or on ice. Elyx is also excellent in Martinis and
spirit-heavy cocktails, which showcase its elegant taste and silky mouthfeel.
Q: How do I make the best Absolut Elyx martini?
A: There are many different recipes for wet and dry Martinis – we like ours quite dry – but there is no wrong or right way. Try the Elyx Martini: measure 1 part extra dry vermouth into a mixing glass. Fill half full with ice and stir to fully coat the mixing tin with vermouth, and then toss the excess vermouth. Measure 5 parts Elyx and top up the mixing tin three-quarters full with new ice. Stir for 45 seconds until the drink is cold and has a suitable amount of water dilution. Double-strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a freshly cut lemon zest.
Q: How is Absolut Elyx produced?
A: Absolut Elyx captures and refines the very best of our distinguished heritage. It is produced in a copper column still from 1921, operated manually by a
select few, who inherited their knowledge and expertise from past generations of spirit and vodka makers. Absolut Elyx is made from a single estate
harvest of Swedish winter wheat and water from the natural underground aquifer upon which the distillery rests. Each batch of Elyx is 100% traceable, from the planting of the first seed all the way through to distillation and bottling.
Q: What ingredients are used for producing Absolut Elyx and where do they come from?
A: Absolut Elyx is produced using only the very finest ingredients. Each part of the production, from the planting of the first seed, all the way through to distillation and bottling, is performed within a 15-mile radius in the Åhus region of southern Sweden. This makes Elyx 100% traceable. Absolut Elyx is distilled exclusively from single-estate winter wheat from Råbelöf, a family-owned country estate, delivering top-quality wheat. The water comes from the underground aquifer, upon which our distillery rests. Filtered through the limestone, the water is exceptionally clean, low in minerals and incredibly soft.
Q: What does One Source mean for Absolut Elyx?
A: One Source means that every drop of Absolut Vodka comes from Åhus in southern Sweden. Producing vodka in one location with local ingredients gives us complete control of all stages of the production and ensures that every drop meets our high-quality standards. With Absolut Elyx, we take One Source one step further. Every drop of Absolut Elyx goes through our vintage copper column still, and it is 100% traceable. It is a single estate, copper crafted, luxury vodka, made from ingredients sourced within a 15-mile radius of Åhus in southern Sweden. The carefully selected estate wheat comes from Råbelöf, and the water comes from the aquifer beneath the distillery. We never compromise with our ingredients, and we have complete control over each stage of the production.
Q: What is so special about your estate wheat?
A: Absolut Elyx is distilled exclusively from single-estate wheat grown at Råbelöf, a family-owned country estate, delivering top-quality wheat to Absolut. The crops at Råbelöf are consistently of the highest quality, with exactly the right amount of water, which enables us to create the perfect raw spirit we need to make Absolut Elyx.
Q: How is the estate wheat (used in Absolut Elyx) different from winter wheat (used in Absolut Vodka)?
A: Absolut Elyx and Absolut Vodka are both made from winter wheat. While Absolut Vodka is distilled from winter wheat from several premium estates, Absolut Elyx is crafted exclusively from winter wheat grown at the Råbelöf estate, a family-owned country home that has kept a constant quality in wheat for hundreds of years. The Terroir on the Råbelöf Estate is especially optimal for growing an ideal quality of wheat to produce the raw spirit for Elyx.
Q: What is the difference between single estate wheat and winter wheat?
A: Single estate wheat refers to the single estate that produces wheat for Absolut Elyx, while winter wheat refers to the season when the wheat
is harvested. To produce Absolut Elyx, we use 100% single estate wheat from Råbelöf, a neighbouring estate close to the Absolut distillery.
As Absolut Elyx is produced in limited volumes, the quality of the wheat is essential to the production and the end-result.
Q: How is Absolut Elyx distilled? / How many times is Elyx distilled?
A: Absolut Elyx is continuously distilled in a vintage copper column still, until it is perfect. Absolut Vodka is also continuously distilled, but in a very different type of rectification still.
Q: What is special about your water?
A: Water quality is absolutely essential in vodka production. One of the reasons for the exceptional quality of Absolut Vodka is that the Absolut distillery rests on a natural aquifer, which supplies us with the water that is found in each bottle of Elyx, filtered through the boulder-ridge and limestone for thousands of years. It is exceptionally clean, low on minerals and has a delicate character.
Q: Is the tame water used for Absolut Vodka and Absolut Elyx?
A: Yes, the water from our own well is used for both Absolut Vodka and Absolut Elyx. The difference between the two vodkas does not have anything to do with the water, but with the copper distillation in our 1921 copper column still, the use of single estate wheat and the traditional craftsmanship that is characteristic of the Absolut Elyx production.
Q: What is copper catalysation? What does copper contribute?
A: Copper distillation is our way for removing any impurities, and it defines the exceptionally refined character found in Absolut Elyx. During the production of raw spirit, copper packets are manually added to each batch, and exchanged at regular intervals. Through copper catalysation – a kinetic process – the copper packets react with, and remove, any sulphur remnants, which results in an absolutely clean and elegant spirit. Each batch of Absolut Elyx is then distilled in our old 1921 copper column still. This vintage still plays an integral part in the making of Absolut Elyx, as it makes full use of the exceptional and naturally purifying qualities of the copper. Our refined copper distillation is what gives Absolut Elyx its
distinctive character and unique, silky texture.
Q: What are copper packets?
A: The copper packets are small, active pieces of copper that we add manually to the raw spirit distillation. They react with and remove any sulphur remnants in the raw spirit, resulting in an absolutely clean vodka. As they are used, we continuously replace them with new copper packets.
Q: Are all vodka producers not using copper? What is unique about your production method?
A: Copper has unique qualities and is therefore used in many types of spirit production. Absolut Elyx is made in a unique vintage copper column
still from 1921. The manually operated copper column still refines our copper distillation.
Q: Is there copper in Absolut Elyx?
A: There is no copper in Absolut Elyx, as copper is only a means to purify the vodka, and to start the catalytic process.
Q: How can you guarantee your quality control?
A: Absolut Elyx is the result of manual operation, expertise and personal supervision through every detail in the process. We oversee each step,
and each batch is made to the uncompromising standards of the Master Distiller and creator of Absolut Elyx Krister Asplund, and his team, who taste each batch before it is bottled, packed and shipped.
Q: What is the alcohol content of Absolut Elyx?
A: Absolut Elyx is 42.3%* alcohol by volume to deliver optimal flavour and character (*except in South Africa, 43% abv).
Q: What is the caloric content of Absolut Elyx?
A: 30ml of Absolut Elyx contains 70 calories.
Q: Does Absolut Elyx contain carbohydrates?
A: Like the other distilled spirits, Absolut Elyx does not contain carbohydrates in the final product since carbohydrates are removed during the
fermentation and distilling process.
Q: Is Absolut Elyx gluten free?
A: Absolut Elyx is made from a single-estate harvest of Swedish winter wheat and is continuously distilled in a vintage copper column still. Thanks to this production process, Absolut Elyx is crafted to remove gluten.
Q: Is Absolut Elyx organic?
A: Absolut Elyx is not certified organic. However and since we use wheat to create our vodka, we do beneficiate of the advantages of this raw
ingredient. Indeed, all wheat is 100% GMO-free. So as we use wheat, we are GMO-free. We also promote sustainable farming with care for our precious soil and ground water through our concept cultivation, the use of hardy winter wheat and crop rotation, which all minimize the need for fertilizers and pesticides.
